Chris Salsberry is a digital crime and computer forensics expert with over two decades of experience leading criminal and civil cyber security investigations. He has rescued companies, state and federal agencies and municipalities from some of the country’s toughest network threats.
 
With early career roots in law enforcement, as well as counterintelligence and criminal investigations for the U.S. State Department and the U.S. Department of Defense Cyber Crime Center, Chris built an industry-wide reputation for his ability to develop and deliver innovative crisis response, evidence management and litigation readiness solutions on time and within budget. He has managed and served as the lead analyst on large litigation matters involving the collection, preservation and processing of numerous sources of electronically stored information (ESI). He is also a highly sought-after expert witness in cyber incident related litigation.
 
Before co-founding Tracepoint in 2019, Chris led the cyber security investigations arm of a major data security firm where he oversaw nearly 2,000 investigations for medium to Fortune 500 commercial clients across a variety of industries including healthcare, financial services and manufacturing. Earlier, he developed his forensic expertise, deep industry insight and key partnerships while working at the center of complex government and commercial forensic investigations at Navigant Consulting, Deloitte, Paradigm Solutions, and as a managing forensic consultant at ThomsonReuters. He started his career as a police officer, and then detective and cybercrime investigator for the Redmond Police Department in Oregon.

Brett Anderson is Tracepoint’s Chief Operating Officer, co-founder, and a prior board member.  At Tracepoint, Brett oversaw all operational aspects of the business including the implement of operational strategy, professional services, business development, marketing, sales, partnerships, vendor management, and human resources.  His background in information security, incident response and cyber insurance spans 16 years with nearly 5 years operating as an insurance leader at one of the largest cyber insurance carriers.  During his time within cyber insurance, Brett helped provide data breach crisis management services on over 1,500 cyber incidents.  Prior to his insurance background he help various information security leadership positions within Healthcare, Higher Education, and Financial Services.

Rob is responsible for the performance, strategy and alignment of all revenue generation activities across the company. He focuses on increasing the company’s profile as a preferred forensics partner to the cyber insurance and legal communities. Before co-founding Tracepoint, Rob was Vice President at The Crypsis Group, where he led business development efforts and helped the firm become a well-known incident response provider in the cyber insurance market. Prior to Crypsis, Rob was managing partner at the management consulting firm Alliance Strategies LLC in New York, where he focused on generating revenue for the firm’s clients in the healthcare, insurance and technology areas. Earlier, he was vice president at The Marwood Group, a healthcare advisory and financial services firm, where he led the business development group promoting the firm’s diagnostic imaging solution to corporations, municipalities and insurance brokers nationwide.

Joy brings a decade of experience to Tracepoint from the legal, consulting, and tech industries. Most recently, she joined a blockchain technology startup where she was responsible for leading and managing the planning, design, and construction of their U.S. headquarters. She has overseen large teams across different regions and time zones and adheres to the management principles of radical transparency and personal accountability.

Clay is a skilled digital forensic and incident response analyst and manager. Clay has over 20 years of law enforcement experience and 17 years of experience in digital forensics, incident response, and high-tech criminal investigations. Clay has led hundreds of large and small incident response and forensic investigations for clients in many industries across the United States and abroad.
 
In 2005, Clay initiated a cybercrime division for the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office in Virginia. During his time with the cybercrime unit, he was certified as an expert witness in the Spotsylvania County Circuit Court as well as surrounding jurisdictions. Clay became an authorized trainer and coach for the International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists (IACIS). As a trainer, he has instructed digital forensic classes in the United States and Europe.
 
Clay’s post law enforcement experience includes ten years of cyber security and incident response in roles including analyst, team lead, and manager.

Gabe Gomez has fourteen years of experience in the consulting field specifically in the area of digital forensics, large scale analysis of computer and mobile device evidence. Gabe has performed analysis on thousands of computer systems consisting of Windows, Mac and Linux based Operating Systems, as well as performed analysis on hundreds of mobile devices and tablets. Throughout Gabe’s career he has worked on a variety of engagements such as ransomware, business email compromise, intellectual property theft, network intrusion in addition to corporate and government inquiries/litigation.

Gabe joined Tracepoint in December of 2019 and focused on overseeing teams of forensic analysts in addition to documentation and process creation along with training and mentoring of new forensic analysts. Prior to joining Tracepoint Gabe was a Director at Ankura Consulting on the Incident Response team as well as a Senior Consultant at Deloitte Consulting focusing on the creation of a large scale digital forensic analytics platform, process automation and analytics process improvement. Gabe started his digital forensics career at Consilio (formerly Huron Consulting Group) supporting forensics data staging for ingestion into Autonomy, Nuix and other eDiscovery platforms then shortly after moved to the digital forensics team.

Drew Hallin has worked extensively with several high-growth and established technology companies, providing strategic advice to help them achieve their business and legal objectives.  Before joining Tracepoint as its General Counsel in 2022, he served as Vice President and Head of Legal for Duetto Research, a private company that develops and sells SaaS-based revenue management systems, and as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of MobileIron, Inc., which was a publicly traded company that developed and sold end-point mobile device security and management systems.  Drew managed the strategic transaction for the sale of MobileIron to Ivanti Inc. in 2020.  Prior to MobileIron, Drew served as the lead commercial counsel for Hewlett-Packard’s enterprise server division, and as counsel for Hitachi Global Storage Technologies and Agilent Technologies.  Drew received a J.D. from the Santa Clara University School of Law and a B.A. from Georgetown University.

Stacey Levy leverages her 15 years of experience in the digital forensics and incident response field to manage Tracepoint’s Business Email Compromise (BEC) and Data Mining Teams. She leads the team in all aspects of BEC investigations including Microsoft 365 (M365), on-premise Exchange, Google Workspace and other email applications. Stacey also oversees the internal M365 development team in continuing to develop new and novel testing  methodologies to improve the analysis process and keep up with the changes Microsoft makes to the M365 environment.  She manages the data mining projects and team from processing and triage of the data, through the manual review of the documents and data file creation.
 
Prior to joining Tracepoint, Stacey was a senior director with Ankura Consulting Group and an associate director with Navigant Consulting. In those roles, Stacey provided project management on a variety of computer and network security incidents, including ransomware and BEC matters.

Wil Powell is the Managing Director of TracePoint’s On-site Remediation and Recovery Services and is based in Denver, CO. Wil has over 30 years of telecommunications and information technology experience and holds an Active Department of Defense security clearance. He fills a unique skill set within Digital Forensics Incident Response (DFIR) & Active Defense Services (ADS).  He leverages his wealth of knowledge, training, and experience to investigate, mitigate, and restore compromises of large scale, complex, mission critical and enterprise networks and systems. Wil has been involved in numerous information security assessments including GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) compliance. His years of experience have included working closely with numerous local, federal, and foreign law enforcement agencies in supporting their missions. These include, but are not limited to; FBI, DEA, Secret Service, US Marshals, US Attorney’s Office, DoD, SPAWAR, US Navy, and other local, state, and foreign  911/112 public safety facilities and infrastructures. After the terrorist attacks of September 11th, Wil was recognized as an integral part of a special team to enhance the surveillance capabilities for the FBI activities involving the 2002 Winter Olympics. Additionally, Wil is also an active commercial pilot and flight instructor. Holding additional flight certificates in both Canada and Hungary. Over the last 17 years, Wil has held an appointment as a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Safety Representative out of the FAA’s Denver Regional Flight Standards District Office (FSDO).

Rob Spitler is the leader of the Tracepoint Global Professional Services practice which is inclusive of Digital Forensics and Incident Response Panel and Retainer Services, Business Email Compromise and Data Mining, Threat Detection and Response, Cyber Threat Intelligence and Communications,  as well as Onsite/Remote Remediation and Restoration. Rob has over 35 years of experience in military, local, state, and federal law enforcement, intelligence community, and corporate environments. He has been at the forefront of cyber forensics investigations for over 20 years functioning as the point of contact for executive level government officials, large firm counsel, and C-suite corporate administrators responding to major incidents. Rob has taught cyber forensics training to law enforcement and commercial investigators worldwide and has assisted in developing industry standard forensic analysis and evidence collection processes and procedures used throughout the government and commercial forensic communities globally. Rob has lead teams within fast-paced dynamic environments and conducted investigations throughout the United States as well as Internationally with high profile and sensitive clients that have had far reaching affects and were prominent within international news.

Rob was an originating employee of the company, helping to build and expand the business from 4 total people to over 100 in the first 18 months of existence. He was integral in developing a strong culture within the firm while supporting the objectives and direction as the firm grew and expanded. An experienced leader in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), she specializes in helping businesses merge best practices and grow beyond comfortable norms to accelerate growth. From strategic operations to technology transformation, she has worked with transition teams on 7 unique M&A efforts and successfully rebranded three companies. 
 
Pamela is responsible for implementing our Compliance, Risk & Privacy programs. With strong technical skills and a background in sales operations, she helps departments to balance competing interests.  Having been at the forefront of compliance and privacy for more than 20 years, she has watched companies struggle to adapt to rapidly changing requirements. From the implementation of ISO9001 in the 1990s to the evolution of privacy and compliance we see today, she has successfully implemented Global Privacy and Compliance programs that meet a variety of standards including: ISO27001/2, SOC 2 Type 1 & Type 2, GDPR, as well as a host of other country and state specific regulations.
